Each state in the United States has a legislative branch as component of its kind of civil authorities. Most of the fundamental details of the legislature are stipulated in the state constitution. Forty-nine (49) state legislatures are bicameral bodies, composed of a lesser house (Setting up, General Setting up, State Fabrication, Property of Delegates or House of Representatives) and also a top property (Senate). The Nebraska Legislature is the lone unicameral body. "Split" implies that either the two chambers have different bulk parties (e.g., Democratic Senate as well as Republican House), that one chamber is uniformly split between get-togethers, or that a coalition or "hung" chamber has occurred.
